Valparaiso is the main Harbour City of Chile, a two hour drive from the capital, Santiago. The Government plans to restructure the entire City Centre. Furthermore a fast train connection is planned to the Santiago Main Station. Plans are to build a new Government Center, Ministries and Public Institutions i.e. libraries.
A new Harbour as well as Marine Cities and Recreation facilities, a Marina Museum and Shopping Mall are planned on an area of 200.000 sqm, 2 km along the Pacific coastline.
